The official title of “World Masters Championships 2021” updated from “Fukuoka” to “Kyushu”!
The Organising Committee of the “19th FINA World Masters Championships 2021 Fukuoka” is pleased to announce that the “Fukuoka” in the official title of the Championships has been changed to “Kyushu,” aiming to bring a positive impact of the event to the entire Kyushu region.
The World Masters Championships is a festive competition that attracts approximately 10,000 aquatic sports lovers from countries and regions around the world. The event is expected not only to offer an opportunity for participants to enjoy tourism and culture of the host cities, but also spread the charms of aquatic sports, enthusiasm of the Championships and economic ripple effects across the Kyushu region.
The three cities co-hosting the Masters Championships – Fukuoka City, Kumamoto City and Kagoshima City – will further strengthen cooperation to provide momentum to the event and make it a splendid success.
